MTM stands for Macedonian Teaching Ministry. This is one of the many tracts of ministry of IGo in Asia. It is a ministry of discipling national Asian Christians, equiping and mobilizing them to win their own unreached to Jesus Christ. It has been said that few people reject the gospel, but rather they reject the package that the gospel comes in. Think about it! When a foreigner comes to another race and culture of people with the gospel, it is packaged in a strange skin color, strange clothing, strange language and accent. When a national person comes with the gospel there is no package problem. The missionary is one of the person's own people and culture. The gospel message has a far greater impact when it is brought by a national, same culture missionary! This is the vision and heartbeat of MTM.

MTM has conducted Bible conferences in several countries. We work closely with a national Christian coordinator. This coordinator brings together the national pastors, teachers, missionaries and Christian workers from their country. A teaching team from MTM travels to the country to host one to two week Bible conference. This team is made up of conservative Anabaptist teachers from our Mennonite churches in America and Canada as well as IGo staff. Each national student translates what they have learned into their own local and tribal language as a means to bring the gospel to their own unreached people.

This track of ministry is a call and an avenue for conservative North American Anabaptist church
leadership to enter the mission field. The enthusiasm and zeal of young people often provides the
impetus for us to get involved in foreign missions, but it is the wisdom of years that God will use to sustain the movement. The church at Antioch allowed the Holy Spirit to dispatch forty percent oftheir leadership for foreign teaching ministry. Will your church do the same?
